How Each Team Can Peak
Hello everyone, I'm waiting to get tested for the vid so here's my thoughts on which direction your team needs to go in order to peak and be successful! Let's start!
Saints- Not all the time does your entire franchise rely on if a player retires but here I am. I love Drew Brees. In real life I hope he's 82 years old out there throwing slants to Michael Thomas, but now, I need him to go ahead and start being a sports analyst. Due to his contract, I am -37M dollars in cap hell. Either way I need a new QB. Drew just needs to allow me the money to get one. If not, it's the Stidham show who still has 3 years left on his rookie deal. My defensive line is also aging quick and I have one good backup who's not starting after the departure of Rankins.
Bengals- I really hope Trent brought his hard hat and hammer to the league this year, because this man has a building project. Offensively, if he can keep all his pieces he's fine but defensively, he's in for a load of work. Jessie Bates and Carl Lawson are his only people that should not be expendable. Maybe MLB Logan Wilson. Other than that, his secondary is aging with no dev on them, his defensive line is mediocre, and he has Vonn Bell on an expensive deal at his strong safety. His future cap space is enticing though. As long as he doesn't submerge himself into a hefty cap penalty he will be free to get all the defensive help he needs. Being Trent, assuming he picks later in the draft, it will be hard to find a hidden dev defensive player but if he does, things will be looking up sooner than later for this squad.
Buccaneers- Lucky for Jack, Brady can do whatever and he's fine. Also lucky for Jack, QB is his only future need. Brady regressed hard and even right now Brady is not doing well. I think Jack drafts a quarterback and hopes to hit on a hidden dev. Free agency will have old mid-70 overalls as rentals until he can do so. Other than that, running back could maybe see a change. Jones and Fournette are a great 1-2 punch but until he decides who he likes more, neither one will shine.
Ravens- I may be the unpopular opinion, but I think Spencer took a small build on too. Think about it. Defensively yes he's fine but offensively who does he have? "Andrew he has Lamar!" Shut up Bradley. Yes he has Lamar and Hollywood. Who else? Ingram and Dobbins aren't good. Dobbins is better than Ingram in Madden. He has Mark Andrews but his WR core could use work. He needs one more guy to be "that guy" then he will be perfectly fine.
Steelers- The Steelers are another defensively sound team but needs offensive help. Connor isn't a top 10 back and Big Ben would be better taking his COVID season. If you stop this teams subpar run game then you stop this team. They need a new QB and the way this season has been so far, they may have first dibs on one. Once he gets a QB he will get a whole bunch of other things figured out as well.
Cardinals- This just dawned on me actually... remember last year when I had the Cardinals and I started Bo Nix? Wanna know why? Trent traded for Kyler Murray like 2 seasons before. Thanks Trent. But let's get into it. Bradley needs DB help in a major way. He has Baker and Simmons deep but other than that, Patrick Peterson is older than dirt trying to lock down teams WR1. His defensive line needs a superstar as well. Linebacker Chandler Jones is aging so if I'm Bradley, I'm trying to upgrade every position on defense but safeties. Being a good GM is realizing what positions you need now and maybe in 2 years. Sure Chandler Jones is good now, but if Bradley isn't careful he's gonna have to pay Jones a lot of money to not be good if he doesn't start planning on another linebacker.
